McDonald’s is all of our childhood favourite fast food place. I remember when I was small, all my birthday parties were held there. That time, we would be so excited and delighted over the burgers and fries, as well as Iced Milo. Marrybrown is one of the very famous fast-food chains in Malaysia. Owned and started in our proud nation of Malaysia, Marrybrown was established in the year of 1981.
Marrybrown was the first fast-food chain to have its franchise of more than 138 restaurants all over Malaysia. It has also over 350 restaurants overseas with Malaysian favourites in its menu.
This successful and well-known fast-food chain was founded by a Chinese couple, Dato Lawrence Liew and Datin Nancy Liew. They saw the need and demand of local Malay citizen who would always look for halal Western food. Thus, Marrybrown is born, and it is halal-certified.
Marrybrown consists of varieties of menu choices in its store. It is famous for fried chicken. However, other than their scrumptious and crispy fried chicken, Marrybrown also serves burgers, fries, mashed potatoes, salad, rice, as well as other Malaysian dishes.
This is the special part of Marrybrown. It includes Malaysian taste and our local culture into the menu. Therefore, you will see menu choices such as Mi Kari Ayam, Nasi Ayam Marrybrown, Nasi Kapitan and Bubur Pedas.
Marrybrown’s Bubur Pedas consists of Malaysian flavour in it. It is a small bowl of hot and smooth porridge, with seafood and scallions to top it up. The Bubur Pedas ingredients are such as crabstick, fried onions, green onions as well as fried shrimps.
This fast-food chain’s Bubur Pedas is one of a kind-a combination of savoury and spicy, unlike the usual fast food porridge we have. The Bubur Pedas available in Marrybrown is one of the favourite choices among the Malaysian people.
