The delectable Spinach Burgers are mainly made with chickpeas, beans, white onions, spinach, garlic and hamburger buns. True to its name, the Spinach Burgers features the spinach and chickpeas as the main ingredients of the dish.

The dish does not use any animal products, which is perfect for vegans and they are generally served as the main course of a meal.

However, meat-lovers should not despair as bits and pieces of ground beef can be added to the dish to include some protein and suit your tastes. You can also add melted cheese to enhance the flavours.

How to Make a Homemade Spinach Burger

Spinach Burgers take around 20 to 30 minutes to prepare. The homemade Spinach Burgers can be made by first rinsing some beans and chickpeas and then adding it into a food processor.

Add garlic into a skillet and to allow it to cook till translucent before adding garlic and spinach into the food processor. Add all of the ingredients into a food processor, with some yeasts, tamari, garlic powder, Italian seasoning and breadcrumbs until they are thoroughly combined. Refrigerate the batter for at least an hour or overnight.

The batter made will be used as patties for the burgers. Cook the patties above heat until they turn crispy brown. Assemble the parts of the burger to create the delicious Spinach Burger.
