Calling all foodies, the KL Fabulous Food Hunt is officially back! This event is bound to excite and bring joy as it involves Malaysians’ favourite item, which is food. KL Fabulous Food Hunt is a food adventure race that will have contestants racing all over the city to discover the best local delicacies.
Participants can join the food hunt and eat their way to stand a chance to win the grand prize of RM5,000, with a total of RM23,300 to be won. The event falls on the 2nd of November 2019, and the venue is all around Kuala Lumpur. By participating, participants are entitled to get an Ultron event t-shirt, goodies bag, team tag number, lucky draw number, certificate, drinks and snacks and food at each checkpoint.
How to Win
Participants are required to join in teams of 4 which can be mixed genders, all women or expats. The entry fee for each team is RM240. Participating teams will be given clues or tasks and hunt passports. There are some rules that have to be followed to win.
The team is required to wear the event t-shirt and team tag throughout the hunt. The contestants are only allowed to either use public transport such as taxis, trains or buses or go on foot to all checkpoints.
The teams must cooperate to piece the clues together to identify all 10 checkpoints where the teams will be given food or tasks. Strategy is key as the teams are given the freedom to choose whichever order of checkpoint to go to during the hunt. The tasks will be given at a first-come, first-serve basis. Each member of a team is required to perform at least 2 tasks at 2 checkpoints.
At each checkpoint, only one member is required to perform the task which is to eat and finish the dishes. Contestants are reminded to make sure that their passport is stamped after completing each checkpoint. All members of the team are required to arrive and present at each checkpoint before the team is allowed to start the task.
The winner is determined by the fastest team to arrive at the finishing line with all stamps completed in the passport. Winners will win cash prizes while all participants are entitled to stand a chance to win lucky draw prizes (worth a total of RM30,000).
This event is definitely a fun and delicious one as it is specially designed to introduce and at the same time, promote Kuala Lumpur’s famous foods to the public.
