foodpanda is set to be the only food delivery platform to deliver Menu RAHMAH and Pakej RAHMAH offerings, extending the Government’s efforts to alleviate cost of living pressures

Kuala Lumpur, 16 May 2023 — foodpanda has joined forces with restaurant partners to extend their Menu RAHMAH items to be delivered to customers, making it the only food delivery platform to provide such service in Malaysia.

In support of the Government’s initiative to alleviate the economic and cost of living pressures for Malaysians, foodpanda is doing its part to ensure that customers can order Menu RAHMAH lunch or dinner sets from the app and website at the same affordable price of RM5 or less.

At the launch of the Payung RAHMAH  Initiative with foodpanda at its corporate headquarters in Bangsar South, Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub applauded foodpanda’s commitment to widening the reach of Menu RAHMAH to even more Malaysians.

“Our efforts in making Menu RAHMAH more accessible to all Malaysians from every creed and income level would not have been possible without the voluntary participation of restaurant operators in the private sector. It is heartening to see that even food delivery platforms such as foodpanda are doing their part to ensure that more Malaysians have access to affordable food,” he said at the event here today.

pandamart’s Pakej RAHMAH will offer two grocery bundles at RM50 and RM30, and a Menu RAHMAH item, promising savings of up to 25% for shoppers looking to get the best deal out of shopping for their everyday essentials.

foodpanda unveiled its Pakej RAHMAH offerings just before the Hari Raya Aidilfitri festive period to assist Malaysians in their preparations for the celebrations.

“We also believe that this initiative will benefit our wide network of delivery partners as we anticipate an increase in the number of orders which will result in higher earnings for them.

“Our riders can rest assured that the fee structure remains the same whether they are sending Menu RAHMAH items or otherwise, and that they will not end up having their per-trip earnings reduced for this endeavour. That’s our commitment to them,” Sayantan added.
