1. One Half x Ilaika

This café may be one of the firsts to include the plant-themed concept in Klang Valley. The lush greenery and aesthetically pleasing interior draw Instagrammers to the front door. However, One Half x Ilaika is more than just a pretty café.

The sign located in front of the store “This way to great coffee” is not an exaggeration. If you’re a coffee connoisseur, you’ll immediately appreciate the handcrafted coffees served at the café. Keith Koay, the owner of One Half and crowned barista champion of Malaysia in 2016, ensures each cup of coffee served will leave you satisfied and coming back for more.

One Half also serves a selection of freshly baked goods, such as cakes and sourdough, to go with your drink. All in all, this café is a highly recommended spot to enjoy a cup of coffee, and escape the hustle and bustle of the city.

2. Merchant’s Lane

If you’re planning on going café hopping with your friends, Merchant’s Lane should definitely be on your list. The interior of the captures a rustic outlook with a modern touch, turning the spot to an Instagrammable heaven. The café also has a semi-outdoor seating, decorated with natural greens to look like a mini garden. It is a great spot to go with your friends to catch-up.

Merchant’s Lane is also known for coming up with quirky names for their meals. The South China Sea – the café’s popular choice – consists of grilled salmon served with salsa, hash and poached egg. However, you may want to visit the café earlier than intended as it may get pretty crowded during lunch and dinner hours.
