1. Poison Apple

In the buy district of Sunway, lies a cute hobbit doorway that directs you to a mystical and whimsical hidden bar! Here, you will see holographic fairies and moving portraits, with delicious food and drinks, giving you a fantastical experience.

The concoctions here are all fairy tale-themed cocktails with the most surprising magic twist. Not forgetting their wide selection of delicious food, that will leave you wanting for more of the enchantment. Definitely an out of the world experience once you set foot into this bar.

2. The Deceased

Having a drink or meal here isn’t your typical bar experience – the concoctions and dishes are inspired by Chinese and Malay superstitions, spiritual beliefs and death mythologies. Going into the bar is no easy task as the entrance, a blue door, is easily missed by passer-by.

Inside, you will find creepy dolls and masks scattered around, with haunting blood stains all over the doors. Their meals are served in sets of mysterious drinks and food items, definitely not for the faint-hearted!

3. Suzie Wong

This charming bar has it all for seduction and romance – the mix of leather and velvet gives a special touch to it. Located at a neighbourhood hawker stall, this bar has an East meet West concept, blending the goodness of both Western and Oriental.

Try their popular Uncle Wong’s Cendol an alcoholic cendol dish which is infused with Malibu, pandan vodka, Baileys, coconut cream and gula Melaka syrup. Another drink is the vodka-infused Lai Chee Kang, traditional goodness with an extra twist!

They stay true to their “omakase” concept, where the bartender gets to make your drinks based on how he feels about you. The do have a fixed menu, but that too, is always changing and evolving to greater heights so, it is rather safe to expect better cocktails during your next visit!

5. Here Bar KL

Hidden behind a vending machine, walk into the fourth dimension – Here Bar, that throws you out to outer space with imaginative neon décor. Although it appears to be a drink dispenser on the outside, the inside is a psychedelic drinking den!

Fantastical and colourful, you’re able to forget about your worries and indulge in their wide selection of alcoholic drinks, while having an out of the “earth” experience.

6. Concubine KL

ooking for a drink after work but have no idea where to go to? Concubine KL is exactly where you should be at. Located at a street named Kwai Chai Hong, this hidden bar has a Chinese traditional touch to it.

With a grown-up ambience and outdoor area, it is amazingly chilled out with people mingling around, whether they are have or do not have a seat. What’s worth mentioning is that they serve some of their cocktails in recyclable “teh peng” plastic bags too!

Botakliquor is a unique looking bar that requires customers to walk through a flight of spiral stairs in order to get in the bar. Once you reach the top, you will be welcomed by a jungle of leafy plants hanging from the ceiling above the bar, as they cultivate mixology of stemming from pure spirits and also in-house grown botanical.

Other than that, their cocktails are creatively decorated to be very instagrammable, blending well with their surroundings.
