Top 5 Must-Try Melting Cheese Naan in PJ

Mamaks are a great spot for friends to yum cha and hangout during the late hours of the night, especially when most restaurants have closed. No restaurant serves more local and authentic Malaysian delights for a cheap price than Mamak stalls do. One food item on the menu that I’m sure most mamak stalls have is the popular melting cheese naan. So here at Foodpanda, we have decided to list the top 5 irresistible melting cheese naan in PJ.

1. Murni Discovery Sunday Mentari

Being one of the most popular high-end mamaks in KL, Murni not only serves the usual mamak food, but also western meals in relatively cheap prices! While the crowds favour the main dishes that come in huge portions, their cheese naan deserves its own spotlight. Unlike other cheese naans that are normally too thick a bread and filled with too much cheese, Murni serves a more subtle version, crispy and just nice.

Address: 53, Jalan SS 2/75, SS 2, 47300 Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
Operating Hours: 12pm – 2am (Closed on Monday)

2. RSMY Best Cheese Naan

Exactly who gave RSMY the guts to declare themselves as the best cheese naan in PJ? The crowds that squeeze themselves into the place at night! RSMY cheese naan is loaded with gooey cheese, making a satisfying cheese pull when you tear them. The naan they serve tastes creamy and is loaded with flavours with the right texture! Not the best choice if you’re having a diet but there have to be a cheat day!

Address: 11&13, Jalan Medan Tuanku, Medan Tuanku, 50300 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur.
Operating Hours: Sunday – Thursday, 11am – 12am; Friday – Saturday, 11 a.m.-1 a.m.

3. Chappati Dot Com

Different from most cheese naans that are thick and dense, Chappati Dot Com serves cheese naan that looks thinner and slimmer. But we should really never judge a book by its cover as they filled their naan with so much cheese, giving it a gooey finish to each pull. If you like thin crust pizza with lots of cheese, you would definitely fall for the cheese naan here!

Address: 9B-2, Jalan Kemajuan, Seksyen 13, 46200 Petaling Jaya, Selangor
Operating Hours: Monday – Friday: 11:30am – 2:30pm, 5:30pm – 10:30pm; Saturday – Sunday: 11:30am – 10:30pm

4. Original Penang Kayu Nasi Kandar

Although famous for its (ahem sky-high priced) nasi kandar, other dishes they serve are actually priced forgivingly. Mains like maggi goreng and roti are pretty sought after too. Their cheese naan, although not as popular as its nasi kandar, is well balanced and on par with the cheese naan served elsewhere. Try it for yourself if you’re ever there for their nasi kandar!

Address: No. 64, Jalan SS 2/10, SS 2, 47300 Petaling Jaya, Selangor
Operating Hours: 24 hours

5. William’s Corner

William’s Corner offers a variety of Western and local fares. Even so, their cheese naan is very sought-after. Topped with generous amounts of cheese, their naan is served fluffy and hot with 3 different caramel dips on the side. The portion is big too, suitable for sharing. However, the price can be a little steep so be careful with what you order.

Address: Taman Mayang Jaya, 47301 Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
Operating Hour: 6:30pm – 2am (Daily)

There you have it, must-try melting cheese naan places you definitely have to try in PJ! We would advise you to have your cheese naan served fresh and hot, but if you’re reluctant to leave the comfort of your home, you can always order from foodpanda and have it delivered to you!
