Recipe: Bulgogi Fried Pasta

I’m sure you have heard of Bulgogi rice bowl before, but why not change up your Korean diet a little bit and have a plate of homemade Bulgogi Fried Pasta instead? With the right ingredient, you can have this fusion of Italian food and Korean flavours straight from your very own kitchen.

Ingredients:

Preparation Method:

  1. Add three tablespoon of water along with the brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, sesame seeds, onions and minced garlic in a mixing bowl and mix until thoroughly combined. Add the sliced beef into the mixture and let it marinate for at least 40 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, set a pot of water to boil and add in the pasta to cook for about 15 minutes under medium heat. Once ready, sprinkle some vegetable oil and set aside.
  3. Heat oil in a pan under medium heat and add in the minced garlic, Kimchi, and kimchi juice. Fry for about 4 minutes until the Kimchi is slightly brown.
  4. Add the marinated beef and cook for another 2 minutes until the meat is almost cooked.
  5. Add the cooked pasta along with the fish sauce, Japanese rice vinegar and pepper. Stir fry the pasta until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined. You can also add more soy sauce.
  6. Add in the cup of spinach along with a pinch of corn starch to thicken the sauce. Stir until the sauce reaches a thick consistency and remove from the heat.
  7. To serve, plate a generous amount of pasta on the plate and garnish with some spring onions and sesame seed. You can also serve extra Kimchi on the side.
  8. Enjoy your Korean pasta!
