The country is indeed Instagram worthy. Besides that, the local night markets are one of the wonders there. You can find basically anything from clothes and shoes to food and drinks. Other than famous for the fresh fruit juices, coconut shake is also one of their specialties. It is an improved recipe from a normal coconut drink. It is flavourful and can instantly make you happy. The drink is creamy and delicious; I bet one is not enough for you. Good news for you, it is truly simple and fast to make. If you have some guests are coming over during weekend, treat them with some coconut shake while catching up. Coconut shake is also best taken during sunny days and when it is hot outside. Cool down your throat with the drink.

Only a few ingredients are needed to make this drink. Therefore, it is better to make it on your own because it will cost you less and you get more instead of buying from the stalls. Believe it or not, once your drink is ready, you will feel like you are in Thailand! Just follow the recipe below to prepare your own kind of Thai experience in your own home.

Ingredients (2 servings):

  • 1 cup of coconut water
  • 2 tbsp. of sugar
  • 1 cup of ice cubes
  • 1 cup of milk
  • Vanilla ice cream

Directions:

  1. Prepare a blender jar.
  2. Add coconut water, milk, and sugar into a blender jar.
  3. Blend it well until all ingredients are smooth.
  4. Stop the blender and pour the ice cubes into the blender jar.
  5. Continue to blend it. Use high speed for best result.
  6. Pour the cold coconut shake into a tall glass.
  7. Properly place a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top of the drink.
  8. Serve immediately.
