Recipe: Thai Iced Green Milk Tea

Matcha is the main ingredient of making Thai Iced Milk Green Tea. The shade-grown tea leaves are being processed into a stone-ground delicate green tea powder for drinks.

These days, green tea drinks has gained popularity globally due to the news saying that researchers showed matcha contains lots of antioxidants. The researchers found out that antioxidants found in green tea leaves contain beneficial nutrients and enzymes.

The antioxidants give us younger-looking skin, increasing the energy for body consumption, boosting memory and burning fat, albeit preventing numerous life-threatening diseases like cancer.

Thus, this drink commonly enjoyed during hot and sunny days. However, it has been a trend for millennials since it is easily getting at any cafes and restaurants, especially in an urban area. Thai Iced Green Milk Tea also took a few minutes to be ready to be served to people.

Ingredients:

In a small saucepan, mix the matcha powder and sugar with ¼ tablespoon hot water. Next, boil them until the sugar dissolves entirely for 3 minutes. Simple syrup is prepared. Let it cool completely and transfer to an airtight jar. Make sure to use the simple syrup not more than one month after put it in the refrigerator.

Add two tablespoons of matcha powder and sugar along with one tablespoon hot water in a small bowl. Whisk it with a spoon to combine the ingredients until it is dissolved.

Pour one tablespoon of simple syrup and add ice cubes into the glass filled with matcha. Add a volume of the milk and shake it vigorously to make it foamy. Drizzle the matcha powder on top of the foam. Sip the Thai iced green milk tea immediately.
