Sea Park Dessert: Best Cafes to Indulge and Relax in Sea Park

Cafe-hopping is perhaps one of the biggest trends to have emerged in the last decade. After all, looking for sweet treats all over town does not seem like a bad idea to kill time on weekends. If you find yourself with time to kill in Sea Park, how about heading to one of these dessert places? Nothing like a sugar rush after indulging in sweet treats! So, here is the list of Sea Park Dessert Places.

1. Sea Park Dessert

A place with old-school charm, Sea Park Dessert does traditional sweets the best. We’re talking about Tong Sui, and glutinous rice balls in sugar syrup. If you’d like a side to compliment the sweet, the savoury yam cakes are also up for grabs, all at a very affordable price.

2. Purple Monkey

While Purple Monkey operates more like a cake delivery service, it goes without saying you can still catch a break in their physical store to admire their selection of sweet cakes. They pride themselves in charting all kinds of cheesecakes imaginable. With quirky names like Peaches to Riches and Say Cheese!, the store does not disappoint in terms of selection. For more adventurous tasters, the Gold Durian is a must-try – an exotic blend of durian flesh into their cheesecake!

4. Kakiyuki

With a few outlets popping out around the city, Kakiyuki quickly gained popularity for their cooling desserts that are especially apt for Malaysia’ humid weather. The Watermelon Shaved Ice is decorated with rose petals and cut fruit for an added splash of colour to an already beautiful dessert.

5. A’Han Nyonya Kuih

Well-known in the neighbourhood, A’Han Nyonya Kuih is a family-run business that’s been operating for decades, so you know you can trust the consistency in taste.  It’s not much of a cafe per se, as it does not boast incredible decor or any photo wall (sorry Instagrammers!) but the delicious kuihs make up for your experience here for sure. The highlights of their best-selling lists include Pulut Tai Tai and Pulut Udang – a must-try if you want to experience the best of Peranakan culture.
