SS15 Bubble Tea: 6 Must-Try Bubble Tea Shops in SS15

Originated from Taiwan, bubble tea contains tea, flavours of milk, and sugar. Toppings such as pearls (chewy tapioca balls), popping boba, grass jelly, aloe vera jelly and so on are often added. Today, they are many varieties of the drink with a wide range of flavours being sold all over the world.

Calling out to our Bubble Tea lovers, here are our 6 must-try bubble tea shops in SS15.

1. The Alley

The Alley isn’t just about tasty bubble tea, but also about aesthetics. We mean, walking into The Alley, you wouldn’t mind spending an hour or two in there due to their rustic interior décor and minimalistic yet outstanding Bobba cup design.

We suggest you try their No.9 Royal Milk Tea but if you’re one to want more caffeine, try their coffee choices like the Drown-a-bear Au Lait. If any bubble tea could knock it out of the park, it’s this one for sure.

Location: 84G, Jalan SS 15/4, Ss 15

2. 2D Bubble Tea

Bubble Tea and a step into a 2D reality? We say, let’s do it! Yup, their unique café design makes it feel like you’re stepping into a world of sketchbooks, but we can assure you the bubble tea is real. While enjoying their 2D world, have a sip of their Brown Sugar Fresh Milk or their Brown Sugar Matcha.

If you’re feeling peckish, they also serve a selection of food. We also like the fact that their Bubble Tea comes in cute square bottles that you can take home.

Location: No.44, Jalan SS 15/4c, Ss 15

3. Tea Amo

We are in love with the outside the box menu selection at Tea Amo, and we think you will feel the same way too.

Besides the typical Milk Tea that most Bubble Tea places offer, Tea Amo also provides a selection of Fruity Tea for those of you who love fruits. We suggest trying their Fruity Royal Black Tea.

Want something to eat with your bubble tea? Try their Earl Grey Ice Cream and their Taufa Pudding. Simple put – Tea Amo, Te Amo. Get it?

Location: No. 51, Jalan SS 15/4, Ss 15

4. Cha Wan Jia Tea Bubble

We’re not trying to diss the original Tapioca Pearls that give Bubble Tea its spot in our everyday life, but sometimes we just want something a little different to go with our bubble tea hence why we’re suggesting Cha Wan Jia where you can find all sorts of pearls to go with your Bubble Tea. Whether you want them pink or colourful, it’s all up to you.

Plus we also love their super cute reusable bubble tea tumbler with their mini heart-shaped stirrer to go with it. It’s all in the details!

Location: No. 34, Jalan SS15/8, Ss 15

5. Gong Cha

Have you ever tried Oreo milky bubble tea before?

Because if you haven’t, then you need to make your way to Gong Cha. We mean they probably have one of the biggest selection, from healthy tea to latte to their special brew. Still, we recommend their Oreo Chocolate and a few selections from their creative mixes like the Passion Fruit Green Tea and the Mango Green Tea. You will definitely get addicted quickly.

Location: 3, Jalan SS 15/7, Ss 15

6. Black Whale

Talk about original flavours, Black Whale is probably the only Bubble Tea outlet that has avocado as part of their ingredients.

So if you love the avocado, you’d want to try their Brown Sugar Black Whale Avocado. However, if you fancy a little cheesy drink, get some from their Cheezo series where you can choose between Cheezo Strawberry, Cheezo Mango and many more.

For those of you who like it more colourful to fit into your Instagram, try their Whalcano Series which isn’t just tasty but looks pretty as well.

Location: No. 33, Jalan SS 15/4, Ss 15
