At this particular place, you know you’re getting fast service and pretty good food. Items on their menu include fried fish skin, noodles with pork balls and many more ingredients to choose from at affordable prices.

Did we also mention they even have frogs on the menu? Definitely not for the faint-hearted but we told you it wasn’t going to be boring.

2. Salad Atelier Café

For a lunch option that is guilt-free, definitely make your way to Salad Atelier.

At Salad Atelier you get to make your own salad bowl or choose from the ready-made salad variety that they have in store.

We know what you’re thinking – can salad be enough to fill you up? The answer is yes, especially if you had the salad from this café.

3. Mitsuyado Seimen – Tsukemen

What we love about having lunch here is that you get to be your own chef! Their lunch set comes with broth paste, noodles and the soup itself so you can choose to put in as many ingredients as you like to suit your taste buds. Did we also mention that they have really good lunch sets to choose from?

4. Red Kettle

For those of you who still like to have breakfast during lunchtime, this is the ultimate place for you because at Red Kettle, the breakfast menu is served all the way until 4pm.

Breakfast menu isn’t for you? Try their lunch menu instead like their Sambal Tumis Seabass and Rice or their Lu Rou Fan.

5. Sambal Inc.

Hidden in the Startling Mall is Sambal Inc- a place to get super amazing local food at great prices. We particularly love their Nasi Kerabu with a variety of side dishes to choose from like Gulai Daging and Ayam Goreng Berempah.

If you’re not into Nasi Kerabu, they also serve Nasi Lemak and other Malay dishes. We should also mention that they have a huge portion so you don’t have to worry about going hungry after.

6. Tang Room

You know what’s always a good choice for lunch? Having Dim Sum of course and at Tang Room, you get to enjoy the best Dim Sum in town.

We should probably warn you though that the place gets pretty packed during the lunch hour so you might want to come in slightly early but we’re letting you know that this place is definitely worth the wait.

Plus it makes a good lunch place for those of you who are trying to bond with your clients.

7. Ipoh Cravings Café

Nestled just outside of Starling Mall is this little café that will satisfy all your cravings for Kopitiam food.

Start with a good cup of coffee to re-awaken your senses after a few hours at work and then go through their menu. When you’re dining in here, expect to see items such as Nasi Lemak, Wantan Mee and Ipoh Chicken Hor Fun.

They also have Ipoh Curry Mee and Kuey Teow Soup. We mean, why take the road trip to Ipoh when you can enjoy it right here.
