Operating for more than four generations, Restoran Ruby is confident in their store’s offering, calling themselves the “King of Black Sesame Paste”. Their range of sweet paste varieties is traditionally made using Kan family’s secret recipe, which has been passed down for generations since 1888. Try their best-selling thick and creamy black sesame and peanut paste, which are served fresh and hot. They offer the best of both worlds – Cha Wu, by serving both black sesame and peanut paste in a bowl.

K.T.Z., short for Kei Tak Sek, means “remember to eat” in Cantonese. You will be spoilt for choices here as they serve legendary desserts, no matter cold or warm that are sure to soothe your stomach. There are old-school tong shui like black sesame paste and red bean soup, and also modern ones like the double-boiled honeydew with ginkgo nuts and double-boiled winter melon tea. Try their tong yuen, which will burst out releasing sesame paste when you bite into it, wow!

Soon Kee serves simple yet heart-warming herbal dessert, especially during hot weather. They serve all kinds of tong shui that are beneficial for your health, such as the lotus seed & lily bulb, ginkgo & barley, white fungus, honeydew sago, and so many more. Their signature, however, is the ginseng & bird nest and cordyceps & snow frog. With smooth and fine toufu, the longan toufu tong shui is a must try!

This open spaced tong shui place is often flocked by patrons so be sure to be there early to avoid disappointment.

Despite its achievements, Pook Kee has managed to uphold its standards which first attracted its regulars.
