Even if you’re not Buddhist or here to pray, Dharma Realm Guan Yin Sagely Monastery’s canteen is the perfect vegetarian heaven of anyone and everyone! When was the last time you went to have Nasi Campur without having to settle for the generic few vegetarian options available? Here, you’ll be spoilt for choice while choosing your side dishes—all for the simple price of RM5-8! The food served here is absent of any MSG, white sugar and preservative, so expect a healthy and hearty meal when you visit.

5. Nature’s Vegetarian Restaurant

Although vegetarian dishes aren’t necessarily rare to find in Chinese cuisine, it’s their meat-centric meals, like dim sum, that vegetarians and vegans really crave to eat. But what if I told you you wouldn’t have to worry about eating a good ol’ siumai anymore?

Here at Nature’s Vegetarian Restaurant, you get to enjoy completely vegetarian and vegan dim sum dishes, with mock meat being a popular substitute for pork, chicken and beef. 6. Dining in the Dark KL

Although not exactly a vegetarian restaurant, Dining in the Dark KL offers a myriad of vegetarian options alongside their unique and thrilling dining experience. Expect to eat a 4-course surprise menu in total darkness and let your sense of taste overpower your sense of sight! Just tell the waiters and staff of your dietary requirements, sit back, and enjoy.

7. Kakigori

And of course, we had to include a vegetarian-friendly dessert store! Kakigori serves Japanese-style bingsu, with their shaved-ice desserts drizzled in generous amounts of syrup and purées.
