1. Humble Chef

Started off as a food truck business, this restaurant now has a shop on its own and is well known for serving their RM5 spaghetti and other cheap eats. Here, they serve all kinds of spaghetti, like Bolognese, Aglio Olio, Carbonara and Pesto, where all are priced at RM5 for a standard portion that comes with toppings such as prawn, beef, chicken, or lamb. Other than that, they have cheese baked macaroni, fried Laksa, mushroom soup, sandwiches, all kinds of desserts, and many more which are all reasonably priced.

2. Backofen

This restaurant is a simple place, basic but comfortable. Once you enter the inside of the café, you will be hit by a slight fragrance of baked bread immediately, stirring your appetite if you’re not already hungry. Not only that the environment is conducive, food served here is also mouth-watering and great for value, not forgetting their excellent customer service from the staff. Here, you’re able to get main dishes like pasta priced reasonably between RM 12 to RM 18, with plenty of delicious sweet desserts for you to top off your meal.

3. Levain Boulangerie & Patisserie

Located in the heart of KL, this established French Bakery within a colonial-style bungalow is no stranger to the locals. Here, they have over 60 varieties of breads and pastries of top quality and reasonable prices, which are all baked in a specially imported oven that nurture the natural yeast to rise, giving it a soft texture with a unique taste. Other than that, they serve pastas, sandwiches and pizzas, all reasonably priced.

4. Charlie’s Café

Founded by Desonny Tuzan, a Kadazan and his wife, Debra Leong who came from Sabah, the couple started Charlie’s café hoping to help the less fortunate, homeless and the ingenious people. Here, they purchase fresh produce directly from the Orang Asli Communities in Malaysia. Their signature dish is the Chicken Chop, crispy fried and tender at the centre, that comes with sauces like mushroom, black pepper or salted egg yolk sauce.

5. Top Steak House

This Western restaurant offers over 50 Western dishes for you to choose from, catering also Italian cuisines. One of their top dishes is the Mix Lamb Chop, which consists of soft and juicy lamb chop grilled with flavourful black pepper sauce, and a few sides like mashed potato and coleslaw, all for only RM19. Here, they serve also fresh fruit juices in large cups, starting from only RM5.
